AJC Diff

When AJC Diff launches, it asks you to open a couple of existing files: file number one will be presented on the left hand side of the interface; file number two will be presented on the right hand side. Using different colors, AJC Diff will then highlight the differences between the two files: salmon for lines added on left, light green for lines added on right, yellow for changed lines, gold for changed characters, and light gray for non existent lines.

AJC Diff is compatible with Windows 8, 7, Vista, XP, 2012, 2008, 2003. 32 and 64-bit Windows editions are supported. Download an installer, run it, and a setup wizard will show up and help you install AJC Diff on a PC powered by any of these Windows editions.

AJC Diff has a dual-pane, ribbon interface. Dual-pane means that the files you load into the application will be presented side-by-side; one file to the left, the other to the right hand side of the interface. Above these two panes there’s a ribbon that features buttons for various features and functions. The ribbon can be minimized, hidden out of sight. It must be mentioned that you can change the color theme the interface uses; you can choose a preset color or you can select a custom color.

AJC Diff is a useful text and binary file comparison tool. You can use it to compare text, binary and Microsoft Word documents. Load a couple of text files for example, and they will be presented on the application’s interface. The differences between the two files will be highlighted. AJC Diff uses color-coding to highlight the differences: salmon for lines added on left, light green for lines added on right, yellow for changed lines, gold for changed characters, and light gray for non existent lines. From the tools/options menu you can change these colors. From the ribbon you can choose what elements are highlighted.

AJC Diff is free to use for a trial period of 30 days.
